The Apex Board for Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) Main conducts JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch.) for admission to undergraduate programs in Architecture and Planning at IITs and other central institutions.The Council of Architecture prescribes the syllabus and pattern of the JEE Main for B.Arch. The exam contains questions related to architecture making it necessary for the students to be familiar with famous national and international buildings. Additionally, the students need to have an idea about the related topics and exam pattern.

JEE-P2 Eligibility
1. Candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination and already appeared for the qualifying examination are eligible.
2. Candidates must have five subjects in their qualifying examination including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
3. The qualification exam would be 10+2.Candidates who are diploma holder and appearing are also eligible, but they can appear for IITs.
Syllabus
1.Mathematics:
Sets, Relations and Functions , Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations, Matrices and Determinants, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Induction, Binomial Theorem & its simple applications, Sequences and Series , Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Integral Calculus, Differential Equation,Co-ordinate Geometry, Three Dimensional Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, Statistics, and Mathematical Reasoning.
2.Aptitude Test:
Part 1:Awareness of places, persons, texture and objects related to architecture and building environment Buildings and materials,Visualising 3D objects from 2D drawings, Visualising different sides of 3D object Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal),Analytical Reasoning.
Part 2: Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, contrast and harmony. Drawing and designing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil, colour texture, building forms and elements, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surface & volumes, Generation of Plan, Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms, Elevations and 3 D views of objects,Sketching of scenes & activities from memory of urbanscapes (public space, festivals, market, street scenes, recreational spaces, monuments, etc.), landscape (gardens, trees, river fronts, jungles, plants etc.) and rural life.
NOTE: Candidates are advised to bring their own pencils,own geometry box set,erasers & color pencils and crayons for the aptitude test.
